The time is now
Spain is synonym of good weather, history, culture and a delicious gastronomy, but also a growing startup ecosystem that it's going beyond its borders and becoming more global than ever.
With companies like Glovo, Wallapop and Typeform, the Spanish market just surpassed the €1bn transaction value threshold in 2020, becoming a sizable market in the context of the larger European region. International VC firms are already operating in Spain, have established a productive and symbiotic relationship with their Spanish co-players, whereby the seed early stage investments are taken by the latter and international VCs take the bigger rounds of funding.
In the recent years, the Spanish landscape has been populated with many more seed and early stage startups, resulting in a number of future late-stage/large size investment opportunities which will be of the interest of international VC firms.
